Zach Frank

Biography

My research is in software security with an emphasis on educating others by increasing awareness of vulnerabilities through gamified exploitation. Some of my projects include the development of an open source Capture the Flag (CTF) framework allowing professors and students alike to create and distribute CTFs, as well as contributing to OSCAR, a Java noise injection framework. For work, I manage deployments and create internal tooling for interacting with financial markets, including working with Docker, MongoDB, NGINX, TS, Python, C, AWS (S3), and a variety of other custom made applications. I also have experience working with proprietary C APIs, Go, Databricks, PySpark, and many other tools and libraries that I have worked with at past jobs.In my free time I enjoy solving capture the flag challenges, penetration testing a variety of software and hardware, and contributing to open source projects.
