Mona Hosseinkhani Loorak

Graduate Student — PhD

I am currently a Ph.D. candidate working with Dr. Sheelagh Carpendale in the Innovis Group (Interactions Lab, Department of Computer Science) at the University of Calgary. I am now a visiting researcher working with Dr. Christopher Collins at vialab. My main areas of interest are Information Visualization (InfoVis), Visual Analytics, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), User Interface Design, and Interaction Design. In particular, my current research focuses on designing visualization for multidimensional and complex data in a variety of contexts such as health, security, and finance. I am interested in exploring the new visualizations and possible extensions of traditional visualizations that can support better depictions of complex datasets.
